Much more than just a bar and grill
If you're searching for a nearby biker bar, then you're not thinking big enough. Through the twists and turns of Route 50 in Western Pennsylvania you’ll find a special place that will surely become one of your favorite hangouts.
The Bull Pen Rustic Inn provides all of the elements that make a perfect ride destination. For starters, the location is off the beaten path in Avella, a small town near Cross Creek Lake with a history that includes some of North America's earliest inhabitants. Do you remember taking a field trip to Meadowcroft Village in grade school? If so, then you’ve been to Avella before.
The Bull Pen has a friendly atmosphere that offers plenty of motorcycle parking and more than enough room to host large groups. Don’t feel like dining inside on a nice day? No worries. Relax outside on the deck, gazebo, or outdoor bar. Listen to live music from the rustic stage while enjoying a wide selection of wings, burgers, or even their Pittsburgh Salad that comes (appropriately) topped with fries. If you’re craving something more, then chow down on the hearty meatball sandwich—a mouthwatering mixture of jumbo meatballs, tasty marinara sauce, and shredded cheese stuffed into their famous Bull Bun.
Get your buddies together, and plan your ride. Jump on Route 50 outside of Bridgeville for the most straightforward path, or zig-zag your way through the many country roads heading Southwest of the city. Bike Night is on Thursdays, but weekends tend to be even more packed. The parking lot is usually filled with interesting rides, so be prepared to spend a lot of time wandering around talking to other motorcycle enthusiasts.
The Bull Pen has both indoor and outdoor seating.
What the hell is that? A 1925 Henderson.
